- Hyundai Tucson relatively strong at just -5% YTD despite its age. Sister model Kia Sportage is down 12%, but at least outsold the Toyota C-HR in Q3
- Renault Kadjar back in positive YTD, but outsold by the Skoda Karoq in Q3
- Citroen C5 Aircross outsells platform sibling Opel/Vauxhall Grandland X and Seat Ateca in Q3, leapfrogs Jeep Compass in YTD ranking
- Mazda CX-5 also outsells the Compass in Q3
- Mitsubishi Eclipse Cross remains a niche player, maxes out at 1,6% segment share
- Subaru XV biggest loser YTD, down 32%

Highlights:
- Segment up 16% YTD, gains 0,3 percentage points to reach 2,1% share of the European new car market.
- Toyota RAV4 firmly in control of the segment lead, biggest winner of the segment at +31%
- Skoda Kodiaq in 2ndplace ahead of Peugeot 5008, the only loser in the top-7
- Mitsubishi Outlander up 29% despite being one of the oldest models in the top-7, helped by the PHEV version
- VW Tiguan Allspace nearly outsold by its clone Seat Tarraco in Q3, just 300 sales between them (sales of the Allspace are estimated as split from regular Allspace not reported)
- Honda CR-V holds on to 6thplace YTD as new generation arrives late in Europe. Hybrid version should give the nameplate a boost
- Nissan X-Trail crashing down the ranking, but September sales were up again. Sister model Renault Koleos confirmed to have failed in Europe due to lack of gasoline version.
