Land Rover & Range Rover Sales Data & Trends for the U.S Automotive Market
Land Rover is by far the most successful and profitable of the two Tata-owned former Ford Premium Automotive Group siblings, together with Jaguar.
Land Rover, including sub-brand Range Rover outsells its sedan-only sister brand by a 5-to-1 ratio in the United States. Despite finishing in the bottom-5 of virtually every customer satisfaction survey or reliability index, Land Rover still has customers lined up in its showrooms, willing to wait months before being able to take delivery of their new SUV.
The LR2 replacement Discovery Sport 7-seater seems to be more successful in the US than it is in Europe, and Americans are eagerly looking forward to the return of the (next generation) Defender.
Currently Land Rover imports all of its models for the US market from its factories in Halewood and Solihull, UK.
The Range Rover Sport large SUV has been Land Rover’s best selling model in the United States since 2006 and even reached record sales in 2019, distancing the Range Rover Velar.
