Cadillac Sales Data & Trends for the U.S Automotive Market

Cadillac is trying to return to its former glory as an American premium brand, and has been distancing its models from their Chevrolet counterparts. Cadillac has also promised to stop heavy discounting in order to boost resale values. Still, products like the BMW 3-series fighter ATS and the CT6 large sedan have not proven as successful as hoped, while the brand can’t produce enough of the high-margin, but from a marketing perspective “old-fashioned” Escalade SUV. The Escalade nameplate is so valuable to the Cadillac brand that it’s been the only one to have been left alone in its confusing model naming strategies. However, like its American counterpart Lincoln, Cadillac has decided to change back from meaningless alphanumerics to real names again.

Perhaps surprisingly to some, Cadillac sells more cars in China than it does in the US, and especially its sedans are still in high demand in the People’s Republic.

Cadillac produces all of its cars and SUVs for the US market in North America. The Cadillac XT5 midsized crossover is the best selling model for the brand in the United States this year, while the CT6 large car is its most popular sedan.
