The Volkswagen Viloran is a China-only MPV for VIP transportation and caters mostly to hotel chains, airport chauffeurs and businesses. Therefore, it has only two real rivals, the Buick GL8 and Mercedes-Benz V-Class. Powered comes from a 2.0-liter TSI turbocharged four-cylinder engine with either 184hp or an optional 217 hp, each paired with a seven-speed DSG dual-clutch automatic transmission. Prices range from 350,000 to 400,000 yuan (€45.000,- / US$ 49,250 to €51.400,- / US$56.300. This is right between the Buick GL8 (232.900-529.900 yuan) and Mercedes V-Class (471.800-604.800).
