Oldsmobile Sales Data & Trends for the U.S Automotive Market
Oldsmobile was withdrawn by General Motors in 2004, five years before the company went through its bankruptcy phase and sold or killed Hummer, Pontiac, Saab and Saturn. By that time, it was the oldest surviving American car brand, and it had been owned by GM for most of its 107-year history.
Oldsmobile was limited to the North American market (USA and Canada), although some models were sold in Mexico under the Chevrolet brand, and the Alero was also exported to Europe as the Chevrolet Alero. The Alero was also the brand’s best selling vehicle in its last few years of existence.
