General Motors Sales Data & Trends for the European Automotive Market

These sales figures include sales of the following brands: Buick, Cadillac, Chevrolet (Daewoo), Chevrolet USA, GMC, Hummer and (until July 2017) Opel/Vauxhall, although sales of Buick and GMC have no official representation and are imported through grey-market traders. Therefore sales of these brands remain marginal, and no data for these two brands is available from 2004 until 2009. Chevrolet was withdrawn from the European market in 2015 with the exception of the Corvette and Camaro. Opel/Vauxhall was sold to PSA in 2017, leaving General Motors with only Cadillac and the two Chevrolet sports cars Corvette and Camaro.

General Motors had a controlling stake in Saab from 1989 until 2010, and sales of Saab are also included in these statistics, up to 2009. Daewoo sales are included in these statistics from 2001 onwards, the brand was renamed Chevrolet in 2005. Hummer was discontinued in 2009, but some remaining stock models have still been sold until as recent as 2013.
