Sehol is a brand of the JAC-Volkswagen joint-venture which was created to produce and market electric cars for the domestic Chinese market. Initially, the brand was planned to be named Seat (Chinese name: Xiyate), as the Spanish subsidiary of VW, but eventually the name Sol was chosen. Then in 2021 the name changed to Sehol. In 2019 production started of the brand’s first model, the E20X, a rebadged JAC IEV7S.
