SWM Motor Sales Data & Trends for the Chinese Automotive Market

SWM Motor was established in 2016, it is a brand of Brilliance-Shineray, a Joint Venture between Brilliance Automotive and Shineray Motorcycle Company, one of China’s largest producers of motorbikes. The Joint Venture also produces cars under the Jinbei brand, which is owned by Brilliance as well. SWM started as an Italian manufacturer of motorbikes, and was taken over by Shineray in 2014. Its first car is the SWM X7, launched in September 2016, followed by the X3 in June 2017 and the confusingly named G01 in July 2018.

Sales figures for the SWM X3, X7, G01, G05 and any other car model produced and sold in China since the early 2000’s.

Car sales statistics from China only include domestic production and exclude imported models.
