Leopaard is a brand of GAC Changfeng Motor, which started making automobiles in 1986 and is a subsidiary of Guangzhou Automobile Group Co. (GAC), which also produces and markets the Gonow and GAC-Trumpchi (sub-)brands in China and has manufacturing Joint Ventures with Fiat, Honda, Mitsubishi and Toyota.

Until a few years ago, Changfeng Motor mostly produced SUVs based on the second generation Mitsubishi Pajero under license of Mitsubishi and sold them in China under the brand name Changfeng Liebao, which translates into Cheetah (Leopard). The contract was terminated when Changfeng was acquired by GAC, but the company continued to use the Mitsubishi platforms and engines to build SUVs. The Leopaard brand name was introduced late 2014 to give the brand a more international sounding name.

  1. I’d like to share one information with your company. Today I visited one store in Xiaolan due, I’m interested to buy a CT 7 but I really got surprised with the people in the store. Even they try to be kindness, seems that they don’t receive training to talk about the car, the brand and make you get trust on the brand. I have left the store in doubt even I like the car very much. In case I buy, the only one reason is because I decided by my self and not for the sales people job.
May be also because I’m a foreign living in China they feel uncomfortable but they should try them best.
Based on this statement, I’ll visit other brands like JAC and Isuzu.
    Warm Regards
