China auto sales statistics for Buick only include the models that are locally produced in China through the Shanghai-GM Joint Venture with local manufacturing partner SAIC (Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation) and excludes import models.
For Buick, China is its biggest market with about 80% of its annual worldwide volume. Until 2014, its best selling model was the Excelle, which is a rebadged Daewoo Nubira developed in 2002.
