Aiways is a Chinese EV brand, founded by a former China sales chief of Volvo cars. Aiways obtained a vehicle production licence by acquiring a 50% stake in rival Chinese domestic automaker Jiangling Holdings, with Jiangling Motor Corporation and Changan Automobile holding the remaining 50%.
