The Small Cargo Vans segment continued its growth spurt, growing 24% in the 3rd quarter, down slightly from the 42% growth rate in the first half of the year.
Highlights:
- The Ford Transit Connect remains comfortably at the head of the segment, outselling all its competitors combined, even though its sales were up only 3% in Q3
- Second-placed Nissan NV200 and its twin brother, the Chevy City Express, keep building sales nicely, putting both of them ahead of the segment’s new entrant: the Ram Promaster City
- Sales of the Ram Cargo Van have pretty much stopped at this point, meaning the Promaster City will now have to carry the torch for FCA in the segment
