  1. They developed the Verano as a niche near luxury car (with great success) then kill the model because of low sales. Sales of 30,000 to 50,000 cars in a niche market is NOT low, they killed it because the profit margins per vehicle sold was lower than the SUVs that their pushing. They should have kept the Verano, sell the Cascada as a two door version (which it is) and they would have seen much better sales of the Cascada. The Verano would have increased its sales with the 2nd generation product.
