The Subcompact SUV grew more than any other segment over the period Q1-Q3, with sales up 168% compared to the same period in 2014. Highlights include:
- The Buick Encore remains the market leader, but it was outsold in Q3 by Jeep Renegade
- The smallest Jeep model rose to 3rd in the rankings, though it is unlikely it’ll close the gap to the 2nd placed Chevy Trax by the end of the year
- The 4-year-old Nissan Juke continues to struggle against newer competition, falling to 5th place
- Fiat 500X is doing reasonably well for a car that only came to the market really in the 3rd quarter, though it’s not nearly the sales success it’s Renegade cousin has proven
