Since the early 2000s, the Slovenian car market has fluctuated between 55.000 and 85.000 annual sales. The market peaked in 2008 at almost 79.000 sales before declining almost 21% the next year. After being stable for two more years, another big hit came in 2012 with a 15% dip, followed by 7 consecutive years of growth to set a new annual record in 2019 at 86.600 sales. LCV sales typically make up 10% of the market, but were hit especially hard during the crisis years of 2009-2011 and have grown to over 15,5% in 2018.
