Here you will find annual car sales figures for Slovakia. These statistics are Total Market Volumes, which include passenger cars as well as light commercial vehicles (LCVs).

Since the early 2000s, the Slovakian car market has been relatively stable between 75.000-110.000 annual sales. The market peaked in 2008 at almost 97.000 sales before declining almost 27% in two years time. Since 2011 car sales in Slovakia have slowly increased to set a new peak at over 100.000 sales in 2019.

Interestingly, sales of light commercial vehicles have not recovered as sharply as passenger cars have. The latter already broke their annual volume record in 2015 and have been responsible for almost all of the total market growth because LCVs are still at a third of their peak level in 2008, when they made up more than a quarter of the overall market. Since 2011, LCV sales averaged 7,5% of total car sales in Slovakia.
