Since the 2000s, the Luxembourg car market has been relatively stable, fluctuating between 45.000 and 60.000 annual sales. The market peaked in 2008 at over 56.000 sales before declining almost 11% the next year. After being stable for three more years, another smaller hit came in 2013 with a 7,3% dip, after which the market has alternated winning years with losing years but broke that cycle in 2017 and four consecutive years of growth between 2016 and 2019 allowed the market to set a new peak at just over 60.000 sales in 2019. LCV sales typically made up 6,5% of the overall car market, but have increased to above 8% in recent years.
