Lithuania-car-sales-statistics

Here you will find annual car sales figures for Lithuania. These statistics are Total Market Volumes, which include passenger cars as well as light commercial vehicles (LCVs).

Since the early 2000s, the Lithuanian car market has fluctuated between 8.000 and 26.000 annual sales. After years of rapid growth, the market peaked in 2007 at over 25.000 sales and was stable at that level in 2008 before declining by more than 67% the next year, to just under 8.300 sales, below its 2003 level. In 2011 car sales in Lithuania rebounded with a 69% increase. Another six consecutive double digit increases from 2014 to 2019 have helped the market recover to a new peak of over 50.000 sales, nearly double the the 2007 peak. LCV sales typically make up 12% of total car sales in Lithuania, but their share peaked at over 22% in 2005 and 2006 but dropped to 8,6% in 2019.
