The Canadian car market has been relatively stable since the early 2000s, fluctuating between 1.45 million and 1.95 million annual sales, showing single digit growth and declines all along, with the exception of a 10.7% decline in 2009. That year car sales in Canada hit their low point in the new millennium, but have recovered since to reach a new annual sales record in 2013 and then set that record sharper in each of the next 3 years.
